With this new technology you can make your busy life more convenient and simple with just a touch. NFC tags are devices that can be used to transfer data to some other NFC devices in a short distance.
NFC tags do not need any power to be able to function, it just draws a very small quantity of power from the NFC device it is connecting with. If you are using Android Phones (such as Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, HTC One X, Sony Xperia S etc) that has an NFC chip in it, you can use it as an NFC device.
When active, the NFC device (your Android Phone) can receive information from the NFC tags by touching it. You can set various type of information like a contact number, a URL, a text line, or certain specified instruction in your NFC tags.

First, you need to buy NFC tags, which are small devices available online from sites such as TagsForDroid.com. The tags are available unformatted and you can write your set of information on it to carry out your work with it.
You can create different profile for different places that you can be at. As for example you need to follow certain protocols in your office arena. You would prefer that your phone doesn’t ring too often when you are working at office. It can be really disturbing.
You can set profile for your work space and write them on your NFC tags by following the simple steps below :
Step 1. In order to write instruction a software is needed. NFC Task Launcher is one such software.
Step 2. After installing NFC Task Launcher on your PC, launch it to get started.
Step 3. In NFC task Launcher go to “create new task”, where you can find options such as ‘Wifi Bluetooth & connections, Sounds and Volumes, Alarms, Social Media, Launch Application etc.
Step 4. From the given categories select the ones that you need to customize. For example in your work place you would like your phone to stay in silence or in low volume.
Step 5. Select the ‘Sounds and Volumes’ category and adjust your ringtones and volume accordingly. Once you have finished customizing this category select -Add This to Task.
Step 6. You can also customize other things such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connection, Application etc. While you are at your work place you may like to have your phone’s Wi-Fi on. Select your Wi-Fi on in the wireless category and then select -Add This to Task. If you want application like calendar to be on, while you are working, you can set it by going to ‘Application’ category and add calendar to it and select -Add This to Task.
Step 7. Once you are done with the task of creation click -Finish and then -Save for later option. You can name your task as well. To write the task on your blank tag just click finish button and bring your phone near the tag.
Step 8. Once you have written the tag you only need to swipe your phone over the NFC tag and your profile will be activated. Similarly you can create several other profiles with different NFC tags and make your task easier.
