Android 2.2 and up versions have rocked the mobile market with their magical and numerous applications. Extraordinary apps on Android have given wings to everyone’s imagination.

The Idea to use Android phone as wireless headphone was one such futuristic projection. However, doing so may need third party client server/ software to transform your Android device into a wireless headphone.

There are software available that allow an Android device to stream audio on a PC to the Android phone and transform it into wireless headphone. Client server setup like Winamp, Pocket Audio (Headphones) etc. allow you to use your Android device as wireless headphone by forwarding audio played on a PC to the Android device.

Software must be downloaded, installed and selected as computer’s audio output device. All audio from any Windows or Mac applications will be streamed to your Android device.

This will allow you to listen any audio played on your computer. However, there may be a network delay between PC and Android device so using software where delay can be an issue, is not advisable.
