How to Update Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830 to Android 4 ICS Styled Myth Custom ROM

Step 2. Prepare your phone

  Note: Don’t use KIES to backup, as KIES won’t be detecting the phone after this update since it’s a custom ROM.

• Must enable the USB debugging mode by following- Settings>> Applications>> Developments>> USB debugging. And here just ticked the “USB debugging” option.
• Disable all kind of security suites and firewalls such as- KIES, antivirus to avoid interruption during the process.
• Charge your Galaxy ACE battery at least 75%.

Step 3. Install / Flash the firmware by this following procedure

1. First of all you have to copied the downloaded firmware file “ImaGinaryICS_V.3.zip” into root of your phone’s SD card, so copy it using your USB cable.Note: Don’t place the firmware file in deep of your SD card it will hard to detect.
2. After copying plug out the USB cable, and switch off your Galaxy ACE.
3. Now get your Galaxy ACE into recovery mode by- press and hold the “Menu” button and than the “Power” button just simultaneously until you enter in recovery mode.
4. After entering in recovery mode follow the path- “install zip from sdcard”>> “choose zip from sdcard”.
5. Now browse and select the copied firmware package “ImaGinaryICS_V.3.zip” from your SD card.
6. Now the installation will begin, so wait for about 6-7 minutes to finish.
7. The device will reboot again in recovery mode after the completion of process.
8. After completion of flashing just go back to the main menu and clear out the Cache partition by- choose “Wipe data/factory reset”>> “Wipe cache partition”.
9. After this just reboot your ACE by choosing the option “reboot system now” from the main menu of recovery mode.
10. If the phone doesn’t start after a long, than remove and reinsert the battery for a while and reboot it again.
