How to Update HTC Sensation to Stunning Ordroid Custom ROM

XDA developers recently upload a custom ROM firmware named “Ordroid” for your HTC sensation. This firmware is much prettier than any other firmware in HTC with a great UI base. The base of this firmware is actually the Stock RUU 1.53.4012. This is not an official firmware by HTC, so just take it as a cool update for your HTC sensation in this Hot summer.

Cause of it’s beta state, it have some minor bugs same as other. But don’t be worry that’s why these are just minor and we soon updated the patch as earlier as we can or the developers will update. So keep these things beside and checkout some bright features with a minor bug of this cool firmware.

Rooting info:- This update require a rooted HTC sensation handset. So you have to first root your HTC sensation. Rooting your HTC sensation will void your warranty.

To get warranty claim back just revoke the rooting process any time just by installing official firmware in your HTC sensation and lock the boot loader back.

Step 1. Download these required files

Step 2. Prepare your phone (Basic pre-requisites)

1). If your HTC sensation is not rooted than root it first. Search on XDA Forum and on web about your specific firmware rooting guide

2). Enable the USB debugging mode by going to Settings>> Applications>> Developments>> USB debugging. And here just ticked the “USB debugging” option.

3). Make backup of all your important data such as SD card, SMS, Contacts, Call logs and APN and MMS settings, to avoid the risk of wiping data cause of sudden error during the process. Use below recommended links

Note: Don’t use HTC sync for backup , because it doesn’t work on custom ROMs.

4). Disable all kind of security suites and firewalls such as KIES, antivirus to avoid interruption during the process.

5). Charge your HTC sensation battery at least 70%

Step 3. Update your HTC Sensation by following this Procedure

1). First copy the downloaded firmware file (zip) in root directory of your SD card. Its easier to find Smile

2). Switch off your HTC Sensation.

3). Put your HTC Sensation in recovery by- press and hold “Volume down” + “Power button” simultaneously until the recovery mode appear.

4). In recovery mode main menu follow- “install zip from SD card”>> “choose zip from SD card” and then choose the copied Ordroid custom ROM firmware package.

5). Now the installation will begin, so wait for about 6-7 minutes to finish.

6). After flashing go back to the main menu and clear out the Cache partition by choosing “Wipe data/factory reset” and “Wipe cache partition” options

7). After this just reboot your HTC Sensation by choosing the option “reboot system now” from the main menu of recovery mode.

That’s all. You have successfully updated your HTC Sensation to the new Ordroid custom firmware.
