Hardly we have found a better way to wish good week to all our readers, announcing the release of the first stable version of CyanogenMod 7.1 based on Android 2.3.7. And if this is just the beginning, we hope it bodes well for the sequel.
The wait was quite long (almost 6 months), but mostly because the list of supported devices is as long as never before. well 68 different models , some of which only added to the project invery recent times , and many others who are now still in beta but will be officially added in the coming weeks ( including the names HP TouchPad and of Optimus 3D ).
CyanogenMod team addressed a special thanks to Sony Ericsson , which has contributed to its developers by providing as many as 20 devices, the result of this effort is that the latest release of firmware supports all the latest SE models.
The news is good not only for the owners of these smartphones, but because it demonstrates the growing interest of CyanogenMod.
The following devices will be supported:
- Xperia™ arc
- Xperia™ neo
