The fastest selling low budget Android phone, Galaxy Y from the house of Samsung has just received firmware update officially.  This firmware update will update the device OS from Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 and firmware version is updated from S5360DDKK1 to S5360DDLA1.

As, this is a very small update so it will not add any major changes to the firmware however the things that were being updated includes more enhanced interface, better performance and will add more stable OS (Gingerbread) stability to the device.

To upgrade Galaxy GT-S5360, use the proper slots for bootloader, PDA, Phone, CSC as :

Bootloader: BOOT_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5
DefaultCalDataWithBoot_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5

PDA: PDA_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5 

Phone: MODEM_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5 

CSC: GT-S5360-MULTI-CSC-ODDLA1.tar.md5 

Keep in mind to uncheck “Re-Partition checkbox”. Advance user, who used ODIN to flash the device instead of Kies, they can upgrade the device, recover it from softbrick and can also perform full flash operation on Galaxy Y.

The firmware S5360DDLA1 is already available on Samsung’s Kies server and can also be downloaded from SamMobile via this link and use password: samfirmware.com.

    as it takes only one file.
    moreover after flashing is it necessary to delete data and cache? and how to do it.

  3. how long does it take for the process(with Re-Partition checkbox checked) to finish? It’s been 30mins now and nothing is happening. Still stuck with this message in Odin v1.85 though
