Android or iPhone – Which is Best for the Business User?

When running a business, having the right tools to make things work is important. For years, many business owners thought of the Blackberry phone as an essential tool for doing business. In recent years, the iPhone and the Android phone have jumped into the business market and many companies are contemplating making a switch.

If you’re in the market for a smartphone for your business use, both the iPhone and the Android are good options to consider. Depending on what is important to your business, one model may be better than the other for you.

One of the factors for you to consider as a business owner is how important uniformity is. If uniformity in the smartphones that your employees use is important, iPhone is probably the better choice. When you choose an iPhone, there area limited number of models to choose from.

You can get the latest model or go with one of the older versions. When it comes to Android, there are many different models to choose from. They all do different things and they are not uniform.

In addition to having many different models, the user interface can vary from one case to the next. Users can even customize the home screens and make the interface look different with the Android as well. When you use an iPhone, everything is the same on every model. This may make it easier to train employees how to use applications or to keep things simple.

When choosing between the iPhone and the Android, you also have to consider what cell provider you’ll be using. In some areas, certain providers do not work as well as others. With the iPhone, you can choose between AT&T and Verizon currently.

With the Android phone, you have many different phone company options to consider. If AT&T or Verizon is not good in your area, you may prefer to go with another carrier. This would make the Android the better option for your situation.

Another key area that many businesses are concerned with is integration with existing programs. You want your smartphone to be able to work with the programs and systems that you already have in place with your business. If this is a major concern, the Android phone may be the best option for you.

The Android operating system is considered to be an open platform. This means that it doesn’t have a lot of restrictions on what can be done with it. The iPhone operating system is a more closed system that is closely monitored by Apple. This means that the programs you use may not integrate seamlessly with the iOS system on the phone.

Many businesses desire state of the art security for their business applications. They don’t want their private or sensitive information getting into the hands of other businesses. Because of this, they need to know that the smartphone they use is not going to leave any data compromised.

If you put an emphasis on security, the iPhone is probably the safer way to go. Since the Android is an open operating system, it is more susceptible to hackers and viruses. With the iOS system, it is a little more exclusive and it does not have the same security problems.

This means that you don’t have to worry about downloading a virus or crashing the phone while you’re running an application. While the Android can work fine, you have to be concerned about picking up some software or viruses that you don’t want along the way.

Both the iPhone and the Android offer some unique features for business owners. Consider these factors when making the decision of which smartphone to use for your business.

  1. Always an Android is the best platform for the users Simplicity of apps, user interface…etc, for common man. Iphone has a critical interface to understand it needs 2 to 3 days, but android needs 1 full day for common use. when comes to the security android with Samsung is the best phone for any security…. but iphone has its quality that any brand never gives.

  2. Frustated says:
